Dr.
Lauren Feiner received her Psy.D. at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium.
During her graduate school studies, she worked as a research assistant at
Stanford Child Psychiatry providing psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological
assessments as part of several research projects.
Dr.
Feiner completed her pre-doctoral internship at Northwestern University
Counseling Center and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the UCSD
Counseling and Psychological Services. She learned first-hand how important it
is to foster an environment that encourages all types of learning and provides
proper resources and assistance for students to thrive.
In
both her clinical and assessment work, she emphasizes a strength-based
approach, empowering individuals to utilize their unique strengths to overcome
challenges. Neuropsychological testing allows her to understand
individual learning styles by examining attention, awareness, memory,
personality, cognition, and emotional expression. Strategies are then
developed to improve areas of work, school, and relationships.
Dr.
Feiner works closely with Dr. Wetter at Applied Neuropsychology, Inc. to provide comprehensive testing, diagnosis, and recommendations.
In addition to working at Applied Neuropsychology, Inc., Dr. Feiner also provides therapy in
her private practice in San Diego. When she is not working, you can find
her spending time with her toddler, the family Corgi, or trying new restaurants
in the area.
